GLIDE Memorial Church Hosts Annual Fundraising Legacy Gala

A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, Jennifer Walling brings more than 25 years of experience in medical sales and works as western region sales manager for Ziehm Imaging in San Francisco, California. When not in the office, Jennifer Walling enjoys skiing in Aspen, and she also volunteers with GLIDE Memorial Church.

Founded in 1965 by Reverend Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, GLIDE reaches out to the poor and underserved in the San Francisco area. It offers a spiritual refuge for those dealing with addiction, dependency, and abuse.

At the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on August 13, 2016, GLIDE hosted its annual legacy gala, where young professionals and philanthropists gathered. Now in its seventh year, this gala featured more than 1,000 attendees and honored three recipients with its Legacy Award. This award recognizes the impact people have made in the community and to GLIDE, and the 2016 gala honored human rights advocate Felicia Horowitz, CNN political contributor Van Jones, and prisoner rights advocate Sarah Shourd. Proceeds from the event went directly into the organization’s programs, including its online fundraising auction.
